Your Fundraising Coach – a 24/7 Resource!
If you’ve ever wished you had a fundraising strategist sitting next to you while you write a grant proposal, plan a campaign, or prepare your board for fundraising, I’ve got something exciting to share.
I recently created Your Fundraising Coach (by Lauren), a custom Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool trained on my decades of fundraising and nonprofit consulting experience. Think of it as an AI-powered extension of me: a smart, friendly guide you can turn to for quick, practical answers about nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, donor engagement, board involvement, nonprofit management, and more.
What kinds of questions can Your Fundraising Coach answer?
Here are some sample questions you could ask:
- “How do I know if a grant opportunity is really worth pursuing?”
- “What’s a good way to get my board more engaged in fundraising?”
- “I have a mid-level donor who’s been giving $500 a year for three years. How do I move them up to $1,000?”
- “What are some creative sponsorship level names for a housing conference?”
- “I’m feeling burned out. What are a few simple self-care steps I can realistically take during our busy season?”
These are just examples, but they give you a sense of the wide range of topics the tool can help with — everything from strategy to the human side of nonprofit work.
How can you use Your Fundraising Coach?
Think of it as your on-demand brainstorming partner. You can:
- Draft a first pass of a grant narrative, then refine it with your own voice.
- Ask for creative event ideas or donor stewardship strategies.
- Get talking points to help your board understand their role in fundraising.
- Troubleshoot challenges, like how to politely decline a grant opportunity or how to make year-end fundraising less overwhelming.
Basically, it’s there for the moments when you need a quick, confident answer to keep moving forward.

A peek behind the curtain
Here’s how I built it: I gathered years of my own blog posts, training materials, resource guides, and client tools, the same ones I’ve been using to coach nonprofit professionals and support all sorts of organizations for over 30 years. I trained the AI tool on those materials so it can “think” the way I do: practical, encouraging, no-nonsense, and rooted in real-world nonprofit experience.
It doesn’t replace my consulting work. Instead, it’s designed as a companion resource for nonprofit professionals who need quick answers, fresh ideas, or a sounding board, whether you’re writing a donor letter at 10 pm or trying to figure out your grant production timeline over morning coffee.
